About The Position

The Human Resources Director will lead and direct the daily functions of the Human Resources (HR) department, including talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation and benefits administration, leave management, payroll coordination, policy administration, and compliance with employment laws and organizational practices. This position provides leadership and oversight to HR staff and is responsible for ensuring effective administration of compensation and benefits programs while supporting organizational goals related to recruitment, retention, employee engagement, and workforce development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • Ten years of progressive experience in human resources.
  • Three years of supervisory or management experience required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Knowledge of compensation administration, employee benefits, payroll practices, and employment law.
  • Ability to prioritize responsibilities and delegate tasks appropriately.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and act with integrity and professionalism.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.
  • Ability to quickly learn and utilize the organization’s HRIS, payroll, and talent management systems.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the daily operations of frontline human resources personnel, including staff responsible for compensation, benefits, payroll coordination, recruitment, orientation and employee relations.
  • Provide direct oversight and guidance to compensation and benefits functions, ensuring accurate administration of employee benefit programs, leave administration, and compensation practices.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and implement the organization’s human resource and talent strategies, including workforce planning, recruitment, retention, succession planning, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Support and guide HR staff, management, and employees regarding complex and sensitive human resources matters, including accommodations, employee relations concerns, investigations, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
  • Oversee the talent acquisition process, including recruitment, interviewing, selection, and onboarding for clinical, administrative, and professional positions.
  • Analyze compensation and benefits trends and recommend competitive salary structures, incentive programs, and employee benefit offerings to support recruitment and retention goals.
  • Partner with payroll and benefits staff to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll-related and employee benefit matters.
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and communication of HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Develop and implement employee learning, leadership development, and training initiatives that support organizational growth and employee advancement.
  • Supervise employee disciplinary meetings, investigations, corrective actions, and separations in accordance with company policy and applicable laws.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including wage and hour laws, benefits compliance, and leave administration requirements.
  • Maintain current knowledge of employment law, compensation and benefits trends, HR best practices, and emerging HR technologies.
  • Prepare and analyze HR metrics and reports related to staffing, turnover, compensation, benefits utilization, and employee relations trends.
  • Recruits, interviews, hires, trains, and supervises HR department staff.
  • Oversees the daily workflow and operations of the HR department.
  • Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
  • Supervises compensation, benefits, payroll coordination, and employee relations functions.
  • Handles employee discipline and termination procedures in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws.
