About The Position

FreeStar Financial Credit Union is looking for a dynamic and organized leader to join our Human Resources Department. If you have a passion for Human Resources and affecting change in an organization, this could be the role for you! Position Purpose: The primary purpose of the Human Resources Director is to assist FreeStar Financial Credit Union in fulfilling our mission to positively impact the lives of our members, team members, and community through making meaningful connections and progressive financial solutions. This is accomplished by performing all Human Resource functions including payroll, benefits administration, and the hiring process. Also preparing reports, correspondence, manuals, spreadsheets and all other communications necessary to the department.

Requirements

  • Minimum of Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Three to five years' experience in the Human Resource field and related responsibilities.
  • Three to five years' experience in a leadership position.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in developing and managing training programs preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and continuously evaluate human resources strategies that support the organization's mission, culture, strategic plan, and business objectives.
  • Establish HR goals, priorities, metrics, and initiatives and regularly evaluate.
  • Develop and manage the Human Resources and Training & Development budgets and ensure effective use of departmental resources.
  • Evaluate HR processes, technology, programs, and practices and recommend improvements that efficiency and enhance the employee experience.
  • Oversee recruitment and selection activities to ensure the organization attracts and hires qualified individuals who align with organizational values and position requirements.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees regarding workplace concerns, performance issues, conflict resolution, policy interpretation, and employee relations matters.
  • Coach leaders on effective communication, employee engagement, performance management, accountability, and leadership practices.
  • Oversee new employee orientation, onboarding, job-specific training, leadership development, compliance training, professional development, and continuing education programs.
  • Partner with benefit providers, brokers, and other vendors to evaluate benefit offerings and employee needs.
  • Develop, review, maintain, and administer human resources policies, procedures, and employee handbook provisions.
