About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated Human Resources Director to join our team! This full-time exempt-level position provides Human Resources support, including payroll, benefits and recruitment management, as well as the ongoing support and development of a quality workforce. This is a one-person department, with dotted line accountability to Corporate Office in Overland Park, KS.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education, preferably with an emphasis in Human Resources Management or Business, and/or a minimum of 2 years’ broad HR experience.
  • Computer literacy with Microsoft products as well as HRIS advanced user skills; Paycom experience much preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or CPP would be a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manages and processes bi-weekly payroll
  • Assists with the development and implementation of services, policies and programs for staff
  • Assists facility directors and staff with all Human Resources related issues
  • Manages the recruiting and staffing function
  • Maintains facility online education system (CE Solutions)
  • Prepares, communicates and monitors the performance evaluation process for employees
  • Processes FMLA and other leaves of absence requests, including ADA accommodations
  • Administers employee benefits plans; reviews monthly billings for accuracy
  • Demonstrate the ability to set and establish priorities, manage time efficiently.
  • Must be able to work under pressure and with interruptions.
  • Ability to take initiative, be self-motivated and be an independent, accountable, dependable performer.
  • Effective planning, organizational and detail-oriented skills; ability to prioritize multiple projects and adjust workload accordingly.
  • May be required to work occasional extended and/or weekend hours.
  • Occasional travel to other Communities and/or corporate office may be required.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively handle confidential information.
  • Demonstrated problem solving and judgment capabilities.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must get along well with others, encourage teamwork and strive to pursue collective goals.
  • Maintains work area in a neat and orderly manner.
  • Maintains a well-groomed, professional appearance.
