About The Position

Nestlé USA is seeking driven and ambitious professionals for its esteemed HR Development Program (HRDP). This 24-month program aims to cultivate a talented pool of exceptional HR Business Partners who will become future leaders in Nestlé's factory and distribution center locations. Participants will gain invaluable exposure working in diverse manufacturing and distribution facilities across multiple U.S. cities, receiving in-depth learning experiences from top HR Specialist groups including People Analytics, Labor & Employee Relations, Total Rewards, Employment Law, and various Talent specialists. HRDPs at Nestlé serve as strategic partners, leveraging HR expertise to tackle real-world business challenges and contribute to the success of iconic product lines. Key roles include driving employee development, managing employee and labor relations, interpreting policies and contracts, overseeing compensation administration, staffing, and ensuring legal compliance. The program offers extensive support through dedicated direct report managers, a seasoned HR Leadership mentor, and a peer ambassador, fostering growth into well-rounded HR professionals. Upon completion, graduates will transition into full-time HR Generalist roles in factory HR.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree completed and available to start the program by June 2027
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 preferred
  • Willingness to relocate throughout program and career
  • Willingness to support off shift coverage and work extended hours as needed
  • Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills; ability to analyze data and make data driven decisions
  • Ability and eagerness to navigate ambiguous situations as well as exhibits professional maturity
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize workload and self-manage projects, handle multiple tasks, and meet strict deadlines
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work with all levels of employees and management within the organization
  • Must possess strong presentation and training skills
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Access)

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred majors include but are not limited to: Business Administration, Human Resources, Labor and Employment Relations, or related fields.
  • Previous experience in a customer-facing environment and/or HR internship preferred
  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred, but not required
  • Preferred experience with an HRIS system (such as SAP, SuccessFactors)

Responsibilities

  • Dive into cutting-edge strategic immersion experiences across multiple vital HR areas, such as recruitment, compensation, talent management, people analytics, organizational development, and employee benefits.
  • Learn and apply essential HR Business Partner activities, gaining a solid foundation in the daily responsibilities of an HR Generalist in a factory or distribution center setting.
  • Take charge of exciting HR projects from various specialist groups, including delivering quarterly presentations to the HR Leadership Team.
  • Foster open and effective communication with employees, serving as a trusted advisor and liaison between associates and management.
  • Provide guidance on policies and procedures to maintain a productive and positive work environment.
  • Drive the development and implementation of people processes that attract, train, and retain top talent, aligning with the organization's short and long-term business goals.
  • Offer mentorship and support to supervisors in navigating people management and development challenges.
  • Build strong and collaborative relationships with business partners, employee client groups, and, where applicable, union management.
  • Foster an inclusive and diverse work environment that values teamwork and collaboration.
  • Demonstrate skills in performance management, employee communications, employee relations processes, and local HR initiatives and priorities.
  • Ensure flawless execution of critical HR functions, contributing to the overall success of the site and organization.
