About The Position

Nassau Candy is a leading importer, manufacturer, and distributor of candy, specialty confections, fine foods, and promotional products. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a Bilingual Human Resources Coordinator (English/Spanish) to join our team in Hicksville. The Human Resources Coordinator will provide critical support to the HR Manager, Manufacturing workforce by assisting with employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, HR administration, and employee support. This role is ideal for an organized, detail-oriented professional with a strong customer service mindset who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be comfortable interacting with employees at all levels, handling confidential information, and supporting a variety of HR initiatives. Fluency in English and Spanish is required.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years of experience in Human Resources, recruiting, administration, customer service, or a related field preferred
  • College degree or some college coursework preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and support employees
  • experience with ADP or other HR systems preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and clerical support to the HR Manager, Manufacturing
  • Coordinate employee onboarding activities, including welcome materials, introductions, and training coordination
  • Maintain accurate employee records, including electronic and physical files
  • Process employee updates, new hires, terminations, department changes, performance reviews, and time-off information in ADP
  • Maintain accurate HRIS records and employee data
  • Track benefit eligibility, including new hires, qualifying life events, and annual enrollment
  • Escalate complex employee questions to appropriate HR leadership
  • Assist with required employee training programs, including Sexual Harassment Prevention, Safety, and GMP training
  • Coordinate HR events, employee engagement activities, trainings, and special projects
  • Perform general administrative and office support duties as needed
