The Human Resources Coordinator is in Salt Lake City and reports directly to the Human Resources Manager.

Requirements

  • A related undergraduate degree or diploma/certificate such as Human Resource Management or Business Administration
  • Preferably 3-5 years of experience working within the Human Resources field
  • Solid understanding of employment legislation including but limited to federal and state guidelines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Some travel to sites within the region

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with an HRIS considered an asset
  • SharePoint experience and familiarity with internet/cloud-based databases recommended

Responsibilities

  • Provide recruiting support including developing job descriptions, posting roles, receiving/screening resumes, conducting interviews, completing reference checks
  • Prepare and review all offer letters, job descriptions, employment letters
  • Administer employee onboarding processes for new hires and ensure enrollment in appropriate in-house training sessions
  • Administer Group Benefits, Retirement and Service Award programs
  • Prepare termination packages and attend termination meetings
  • Administer annual employee engagement survey including focus groups and action plans
  • Manage short-term disability absences and liaise with group insurance provider for LTD as required
  • Maintain and update Salary employee personnel files (including electronic files)
  • Develop HR presentations for quarterly meetings
  • Attend National HR Council meetings
  • Complete monthly HR compliance checklists and Quarterly People Resource Reports ensuring compliance with Company HR initiatives and processes
  • Coach management team on Human Resources policies and processes
  • Support managers and supervisors with guidance, assistance and direction on employee relations
  • Maintain regional organizational charts
