About The Position

The HR Coordinator will provide general support to the Human Resources Manager, administer the full-cycle payroll processing for the plant, and help to make OurRecipe@SauerBrands. The Human Resource Coordinator is responsible for providing a variety of HR services in support of the day-to-day operations and activities of the plant. This position will provide accurate and detailed tracking and reporting of attendance/absenteeism issues and Request for Time Off, as well as entering any/all other payroll/HRIS information and is the primary person for reviewing and processing payroll. The HR Coordinator assists the HR Manager in facilitating New Hire Orientation as requested, as well as helping to coordinate and deliver a rewarding and enriching Employee Recognition program. This position works closely with all levels of employees within the organization and must demonstrate a high level of trust, confidentiality, good judgment, and collaboration. Reports to the HR Manager.

Requirements

  • Solid knowledge of CA labor laws and payroll processing policies
  • Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work and thrive under time constraints and juggle/prioritize responsibilities
  • Highly organized with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highschool Diploma minimum
  • 3+ Years payroll processing experience required
  • Hands-on experience and comfort working in HRIS and ATS systems

Nice To Haves

  • college degree desired
  • preferrable in a manufacturing environment
  • Previous experience in assisting HR with various functions desired

Responsibilities

  • Regularly review Timesheets in HRIS system for discrepancies and ensure accurate attendance records
  • Resolve Payroll related issues and discrepancies as needed
  • File and maintain necessary records and reports of bi-weekly Payroll
  • Generate standard and ad hoc reports from the payroll/HRIS system as requested
  • Answer HR/Payroll related policy & procedure questions for plant employees
  • Collaborate with HR Manager and Benefits Coordinator to assist with New Hire Enrollments and Open Enrollment
  • Maintains Employee Info bulletin boards
  • Assist in developing & maintaining employee retention programs
  • Participate in community and college job fairs and/or other community building activities
  • Other duties as assigned by Human Resource Manager
  • Participates in committees and teams where appropriate to help build relationships and contribute to the positive culture of the plant.
  • Support HR Manager in other actions and programs necessary for developing the desired company culture.
