About The Position

Multi-site Dermatology Group Seeks Human Resources Generalist Optima Dermatology is recruiting a Human Resources Coordinator to join our Practice Support Center, based in Portsmouth, NH. The Human Resources Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting the organization through a period of growth, operational improvement, and cultural evolution. This role is responsible for coordinating onboarding for clinical and non-clinical employees, maintaining HR documentation, and ensuring seamless day-to-day HR operations. This position is designed for a hands-on HR professional who thrives in execution, coordination, and continuous improvement, and who is interested in growing their scope and ownership over time through mentorship and partnership with senior HR leadership.

Requirements

  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Multiple years of human resource experience preferred.
  • Prior experience in an HR Coordinator or HR Operations role with exposure to employee lifecycle administration.
  • Experience coordinating onboarding, performance cycles, or engagement initiatives.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to detail and comfort working in HR systems (Paylocity or similar preferred).
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to partner effectively with employees, managers, and senior HR leaders.
  • Interest in professional growth and developing broader HR capability over time.

Responsibilities

  • Own and coordinate the employee lifecycle from offer acceptance through exit, ensuring a consistent, well-organized experience for employees and managers.
  • Coordinate onboarding logistics and transitions from pre-hire through Day 1 and early tenure.
  • Administer offboarding processes, including exit interviews, documentation, and system updates.
  • Maintain accurate employee lifecycle records and data in Paylocity, partnering with Payroll & Benefits to ensure data integrity.
  • In partnership with HR leadership, coordinate and administer performance management cycles, including timelines, communications, system setup, and follow-through.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives such as surveys (eNPS), recognition programs, and culture-building efforts.
  • Partner with HR leadership to translate engagement insights into follow-up actions and improvements.
  • Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and breakdowns in HR processes and participate in process improvement efforts.
  • Maintain HR SOPs, templates, and workflows.
  • Support cross-functional HR initiatives and special projects as needed.
  • Conduct or acquire background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
