The company is looking for a Human Resources Consultant to join their team on a Permanent Full-Time Basis, working out of their Toronto, Ontario, or Ottawa, ON office. This position is essential to the team. Requirements

  • University degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related area.
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant Human Resources experience preferred
  • CPHR is required (or in progress)
  • Experience in developing and delivering HR training programs to a variety of audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects successfully in a fast-paced and changing environment
  • Knowledge of Employment Legislation
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Creative, flexible and have a business-oriented outlook
  • Experience working with geographically dispersed team members, management and stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance and direction to managers and employees on matters pertaining to employee relations, performance management, disability management, the interpretation and application of company policies and employment legislation and change management initiatives.
  • Actively participate in the resolution of conflicts, complaints or problems.
  • Ensure consistent understanding and delivery of HR policies and programs within the assigned client group.
  • Support the acquisition and integration process within the assigned client group.
  • Lead or participate in the review of current human resources management programs and practices.
  • Develop and deliver training programs for managers and employees as part of the deployment and implementation strategy of programs and initiatives.
  • Facilitate HR programs or cyclical initiatives as required.
