About The Position

The Human Resources Business Partner serves as an HR advisor to assigned departments within the health system, providing guidance on HR policies, workforce planning, and talent strategies. Supports leaders in fostering a positive culture and driving organizational performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree, Human Resources or Related Field (Required)
  • 2-3 years experience working in Human Resources (Required)
  • Well-developed HR knowledge base with a firm understanding of laws, regulations, and practices impacting HR (i.e. FMLA, FLSA, ADA, Wage and Hour, etc).
  • Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance (e.g., HIPAA).
  • Proficient in computer technology including all MS Office products.
  • Intermediate level or above MS Excel skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills across broad and diverse audiences.
  • Skilled in the consistent application of policies and procedures.
  • Excellent stakeholder and relationship management.
  • Ability to exercise discretion with sensitive and confidential information.
  • Tactical mindset.
  • Skilled in interpreting and implementing business solutions.
  • Ability to advise and coach leaders.
  • Ability to balance multiple projects and priorities and follow through to completion.

Nice To Haves

  • Human Resources experience in a healthcare setting (Preferred)
  • Experience with HCM Workday (Preferred)
  • PHR/SHRM-CP and SPHR/SHRM-SCP (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Partner with department leaders to understand business objectives and provide HR guidance in areas of workforce planning, talent development, pay practices and organizational design, etc.
  • Collaborate on initiatives to improve team culture and engagement using workforce data.
  • Assist leaders in managing change and maintaining team performance during transitions.
  • Provide feedback and resources to help leaders strengthen team management and engagement.
  • Provide advice and guidance to leaders on employee relations matters (e.g., absence, performance management, disciplinary procedures, pay practices and outcomes), escalating complex or high-risk issues as needed.
  • Advise leaders on HR laws, regulations, and practices (such as FMLA, ADA), and serve as an HR policy expert to assist with interpretation and enforcement.
  • Supports employee lifecycle activities in collaboration with HR Centers of Excellence (e.g., onboarding, development, engagement, performance, retention, offboarding, compensation and benefits events).
  • Supports HR-related component of regulatory surveys.
