About The Position

Human Resources Business Partner Reporting to the Director, of Human Resources Business Partners, Culture, and Inclusion the HR Business Partner (HRBP) will be a member of a dynamic HR team supporting seven nonprofits that are each focused on creating solutions and generating resources to extend the ASU charter. Building upon HR functional and business partnering expertise, this role will strategically align human resources principles with business objectives. Primary areas include employee relations, performance management, personnel policies, and regulatory compliance, with responsibility for managing and/or facilitating specific projects and programs to support business needs. The HRBP will support subsidiaries and centers of excellence in alignment with the Company and Human Resources strategic goals.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws
  • The ideal candidate will be creative and innovative in balancing organizational needs and business capabilities while demonstrating strong customer service skills and a passion for developing others and having FUN!
  • Ability to implement change initiatives and communicate on a one-to-one basis and group setting to influence others.
  • Ability to perform and advise on planning, assignment, training, direction, and motivation of employees with diverse backgrounds.

  • Advanced knowledge with Microsoft Suite of applications including Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Relevant qualifications Bachelor’s degree in human resources management or business administration
  • Three (3) to Five (5) years of HR Generalist experience in roles of progressively increasing scope and in matrixed, high-growth, organization
  • Or any equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved
  • Experience in a high profile, strategic HR role with executive-level interface and a high degree of executive influence

Responsibilities

  • Consults with Business Leaders (VPs) and their leadership teams to drive business outcomes and interpret what people enablers are necessary to deliver business results
  • Leads programs at scale, from need identification to implementation, considering the unique needs of our internal customers and in close partnership with HR Centers of Excellence (CoEs)
  • Communicates and provides guidance to organizational leaders to ensure integrity and compliance with all employment laws, regulations, and ASUEP policies, procedures, and processes
  • Partner with management team/s and employees to ensure employees have the necessary skills, information, and resources to maximize employee potential and succession planning objectives to align with the strategic direction of the company.
  • Provides coaching, change management, HR program execution, culture and engagement enablement, and data-driven consultation
  • Conducts investigations on employee relations issues in an appropriate and timely manner and provides appropriate recommendations for course of action
  • Serves as partner in recruitment activities, including peak planning, and participating in outreach events; builds and maintains effective relationships with schools and community-based organizations
  • Collaborates with operational business partners and HR Team to develop strategic plans and actions to reduce voluntary turnover to goal and increase employee engagement
  • Contributes to definition and execution of a talent strategy that accelerates realization of organizational priorities
  • Provides recommendations and offers guidance to managers on pay review guidelines and sound pay practices, in conjunction with and under the direction of Director, HRBP, Culture and Inclusion.
  • Facilitate formal learning activities and other development sessions as needed in alignment with organization development.
  • Provide coaching and communication strategies to influence employee engagement, including providing leadership on engagement survey and engagement related strategies.
  • Lead employee experience initiatives to drive employee engagement with managers/teams.
  • Contribute as a project leader or project team member on various Human Resources continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead with data and analytics when executing major responsibilities.
  • Understand the key metrics of the leaders you support, taking a proactive approach using this data to further optimize manager effectiveness and drive enhanced business results
  • Keeps self and others informed of professional Human Resources trends and developments by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, benchmarking state-of-the-art practices, and participating in professional societies.
  • Serves as a point of contact to employees, responding to inquiries and ensuring follow-up on questions, concerns, or complaints reported
  • Represent HR to customers, stakeholders, and business partners
