About The Position

The Autism Society of North Carolina is seeking a dynamic Benefits Administrator. This position is responsible for overall benefits administration, 401K program, ACA compliance and HR support at the statewide level. Provides guidance on benefits administration for key internal stakeholders. Serves as main point of contact for benefits to all benefits-eligible employees and new hires. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, but a combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years Benefits Administration experience for a company of at least 500+ employees is required.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains employee benefits programs by working with CEO, CFO, CHRO, and external brokers on the design and implementation of benefit plans.
  • Acts as primary benefits liaison between Leadership, HR and all employees.
  • Manages Open Enrollment process to include benefit rollover process in Paycom, planning and scheduling of benefit briefings state-wide, development & implementation of employee communication plan.
  • Serves as the key contact for questions and guidance for statewide HR and employees during the Open Enrollment process.
  • May assist employees with sensitive and/or complex benefits questions and plan comparisons.
  • Establishes relationships with benefit carriers and responds to all benefit related requests and inquires.
  • Acts as key contact for benefit vendor requests for administrative items.
  • Processes benefit enrollments, terminations, and ensures employee changes are completed in a timely and compliant manner, adhering to all plan details and external regulations.
  • Assists Accounting/Finance team with benefit claims and billing administration.
  • Ensures COBRA administration is processed in compliance with all applicable regulations.
  • Works directly with the CFO and Payroll to administer the companys 401k plan.
  • Ensures adequate employee education outreach.
  • Provide guidance and oversight to Wellness Program and serves on Wellness Committee.
  • Serves as main contact for applicable vendors.
  • Manages state-wide workers compensation program to include employee/supervisor education, document and billing management, carrier reporting and documentation preparation.
  • Works to ensure ACA compliance and manages trend reports to accurately classify employees according to ACA regulations.
  • Develop all ACA policies as needed and communications materials for leadership and staff.
  • Acts as main point of contact for employee questions regarding the federal benefits marketplace, and manages all related eligibility issues and notifications.
  • Gather, complete and submit all state or federally mandated OSHA requirements and reporting.
  • Ensures all state and federal regulatory posters are current for all ASNC locations.
  • Manages Unemployment process for organization, to include claims management, responses, attendance at hearings, etc.
  • Backs up other HR duties for hiring, leave, compliance and training where necessary.
  • May serve on Safety and Wellness Committees.
