The Human Resources Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to the HR department and assisting with various HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, and record-keeping. This role involves maintaining employee files, assisting with onboarding and training, and ensuring compliance with HR policies and procedures. The HR Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the HR team and contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of HR operations.

Requirements

  • Must have a satisfactory background check.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • 1-2 years of experience in an administrative or HR support role.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • At least 1 year of experience in ADPWFN is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the HR department, including answering phones, responding to emails, and managing the basic coordination of HR initiatives.
  • Prepare and process HR documents, such as employment contracts and termination paperwork.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee files and records.
  • Assist with special HR projects and initiatives as needed.
  • Provide general support to the HR team and perform other duties as assigned.
  • Coordinate pre-employment screenings and background checks.
  • Assist with the onboarding process for new hires, including preparing orientation materials and conducting orientation sessions.
  • Assist with employee relations activities, such as organizing employee events and recognition programs.
  • Address employee inquiries and concerns, providing assistance and directing them to appropriate resources.
  • Support the HR team in resolving employee issues and maintaining a positive work environment.
  • Assist with the administration of employee benefits programs, including enrollment, changes, and terminations.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding benefits and assist with benefits-related documentation.
  • Coordinate training and development programs, including scheduling training sessions and preparing training materials.
  • Assist with tracking employee training and development activities.
  • Ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of employee attendance, leave, and other HR-related data.
  • Assist with HR audits and reporting requirements.
  • Additional responsibilities and tasks as required to support the organization's goals and adapt to evolving business needs.
