About The Position

Joseph J. Albanese is seeking a Human Resources Assistant to join our team in Santa Clara, CA. Under the supervision of the Director of Human Resources, the Human Resources Assistant will provide essential administrative support to the department to ensure smooth and efficient operations. The ideal candidate will assist with daily administrative tasks, maintain accurate employee records, and help coordinate the onboarding process. Requirements

  • Minimum of an Associate degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work independently when needed and troubleshoot when issues or questions arise.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to demonstrate conflict resolution skills when appropriate and needed.
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage several projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with team members by prioritizing tasks and assisting team members when needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Spanish fluency is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and process new hire paperwork, ensuring all documentation complies with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Create, maintain, and archive accurate employee records, both electronically and in physical files, and update information as needed.
  • Coordinate onboarding and orientation sessions for new employees, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary documentation and information.
  • Process verification of employment, EDD claims, and employee requests for union employees.
  • Perform general administrative duties, such as filing, mailings, answering HR phone calls, and monitoring the HR Helpdesk.
  • Coordinate harassment training, onboarding, and maintain records in our HRIS system.
  • Provide internal customer support on a daily basis.
  • Perform HRIS data entry.
