About The Position

Termax is a dynamic manufacturing and engineering company specializing in metal, plastic and rubber fastening systems. Our 250,000 square foot facility in Lake Zurich, IL, provides manufacturing, engineering and in-house tooling capabilities that world-class organizations rely on to support their operations. PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE JOB Serves as the first point of contact, balancing front-desk coverage (greeting visitors, answering phones) with administrative Human Resources support, such as onboarding, records management, and recruiting assistance. This hybrid role demands high confidentiality, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and strong interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests, answer and route phone calls, manage office mail, and keep the lobby/ conference room tidy.
  • Submit invoices to accounts payable via email.
  • Maintain the conference room and coffee station stocked.
  • Manage walk-in requests for open positions and employment applications.
  • Conduct or assist with new hire orientations.
  • Prepare the onboarding package and area (if applicable).
  • Assist in maintaining the applicant tracker system.
  • Assist w/ translations
  • Scan/ Save all training records in all systems
  • Audit training records
  • Update the training log
  • Represent HR at PSM1
  • Conduct new hire safety orientation in Spanish
  • Assist w/ translations
  • Assist with accident/ incident reporting.
  • Provide support for employee portal updates. updates, including address, beneficiary changes information and login issues.
  • Prepare the benefit packet.
  • Conduct new hire benefit orientation in Spanish.
  • Setup Calendar reminders for performance evaluations.
  • Follow up on outstanding performance evaluations.
  • Communicate, verify, organize and maintain confidential information and material.
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation per company, Federal, State and ISO/IATF guidelines.
  • Answers frequently asked questions from employees relating to standard policies, benefits, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management.
  • Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
  • Manage special projects perform data entry of personnel, benefit and payroll information.
  • Assist translating verbally and/ or written.
  • Assists with special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events and holiday parties.
  • Inform HR Director of all noteworthy activities that take place.
  • Participation and utilization in the company’s commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Follow ISO/IATF, safety, and environmental procedures as well as department and corporate policies and procedures.
