About The Position

Center for Human Development, Inc. is seeking a full-time Human Resources Assistant to provide support to the Human Resources (HR) team with a variety of complex and routine administrative services. Areas of work include Human Resources systems data entry, assistance with employee recruitment, orientation and retention; assist in the processing of payroll processing and maintenance of personnel records including employee earnings and professional development. Provide internal and external customer service and consistent communication to employees. Use initiative and judgment in completing tasks and responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Two to three years experience in HR preferred.
  • Must be a self-starter and able to work independently.
  • Must possess strong understanding of numerical data.
  • Must be accurate, detail oriented, organized, and possess the ability to recognize inconsistencies.
  • Must work well in a team-based setting.
  • Able to communicate, both verbally and written, effectively with a diverse employee population.
  • Experience exercising discretion in dealing with confidential and sensitive issues and information
  • Ability to stay focused, efficient, and effective in managing multiple priorities.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and sound judgment.
  • Must maintain punctual and regular work attendance.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and pass all criminal history check requirements and drug screenings.

Responsibilities

  • Create job postings in Human Resource Information System (HRIS) and assist in the recruitment of new employees.
  • Schedule, arrange and check references for job candidates.
  • Assist with the pre-boarding, onboarding, coordinating orientation & training sessions for new employees.
  • Support human resources processes by scheduling meetings, aiding in orientation, and maintaining accurate records and information.
  • Assists in the processing of monthly payroll, including verifying accurate time entries, entering pay allocations, and monitoring employee overtime.
  • Assist in the process of new hires, terminations and other payroll-related changes in Human Resource systems to assure accuracy and compliance with law and company guidelines.
  • Track and schedule performance reviews
  • Responsible for scheduling employee functions including bi-annual events.
  • Responsible for completing and delivering employee anniversary cards.
  • Maintain employee files, including creating and maintaining accurate documentation within files.
