There are currently 2 openings for Human Resources Recruitment III (C) (Recruitment) located at Headquarters. This recruitment may result in an eligibility list. As a Human Resources Assistant III (C) you will play an integral role in supporting Recruitment through high-level administrative and operational support. This position is responsible for coordinating daily recruitment support activities, improving workflows, processes and procedures, helping enhance overall operational efficiency. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and possesses exceptional communication and customer service skills. They will exercise sound judgment and demonstrate the ability to manage confidential and sensitive information with discretion. The successful candidate has a proven record of integrity, fosters trust, and is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace.

Requirements

  • Associate degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and 4 years relevant experience; OR 2 years in an MWD Human Resources Assistant II classification.
  • Relevant Experience is defined as: work either supporting or performing a recruitment function.
  • This classification performs work that requires maintaining confidentiality and is routinely privy to matters that either involves confidential information, sensitive personnel issues, or exposure to confidential and sensitive strategic corporate information.
  • Applicants for employment with The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California must have work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States (i.e., H1-B or other employment-based immigration case).

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the recruitment team, helping to coordinate and streamline day-to-day recruitment activities.
  • Manage and maintain the transfer list.
  • Act as a SME for the ATS and other business applications, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and timely updates.
  • Support recruiters to prepare recruitment materials, coordinate hiring activities, and review hiring packets for completeness and compliance.
  • Track, analyze, and compile recruitment data and reports that support strategic staffing decisions and workforce planning.
  • Help drive operational excellence by identifying opportunities to streamline workflows and improve recruitment processes and procedures.
  • Support special projects and initiatives designed to enhance recruitment operations and create positive candidate experience.
