About The Position

The HR Administrator supports the daily operations of the Human Resources department and helps deliver a positive experience for employees and visitors. This role provides hands-on exposure to a variety of HR functions, including recruitment coordination, employee records management, HR systems support, and compliance activities. The position is ideal for a detail-oriented and dependable professional who values confidentiality, organization, and teamwork, and who is interested in growing a career in Human Resources within a fast-paced, operational environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or coursework in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 1–3 years of administrative experience, preferably in Human Resources or a professional office environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
  • Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and regular attendance while meeting performance expectations.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with HR information systems and electronic filing systems preferred.
  • Experience using SAP or similar enterprise systems, including invoice processing, requisition creation, and auditing, preferred.
  • Prior experience supporting recruiting activities, scheduling interviews, or coordinating meetings.
  • Experience in an industrial, mining, or operational environment is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for the HR department by greeting employees and visitors, responding to general inquiries, and directing individuals as appropriate.
  • Provide administrative support to the HR team, including data entry, auditing, recordkeeping, and maintenance of HR systems and employee files (electronic and paper).
  • Support recruitment activities by scheduling interviews, coordinating candidate communications, assisting with appropriate background and reference checks, and maintaining recruiting and tracking systems.
  • Maintain employee relations and disciplinary documentation in accordance with Company policies and record retention requirements.
  • Coordinate HR meetings, new hire onboarding, employee training, and events, including scheduling, room bookings, and meal arrangements.
  • Perform general administrative and office support duties, including answering phones, scanning and filing documents, photocopying, and calendar management.
  • Order and manage office supplies for the HR department and site.
  • Provide administrative support to the Corporate Social Responsibility team, including reporting and recordkeeping.
  • Support SAP-related processes, including invoice entry, requisition creation, and invoice auditing.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and exercise sound judgment and discretion in all aspects of the role.
  • Demonstrate alignment with First Majestic's values and organizational behaviors in all interactions, decisions, and work activities.
  • Comply with all Company policies and procedures, including safety, environmental, and code of conduct requirements.
  • Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and regular attendance while meeting performance expectations.
  • Perform work safely and complete other related duties as assigned.
