About The Position

The Human Resources Administrative Intern provides administrative support to the HR team while gaining exposure to human resources operations in a professional workplace environment. This internship offers high school students the opportunity to develop organizational, communication, and office skills through hands-on experience with HR projects, filing, data organization, and employee engagement activities.

Requirements

  • Current high school student, age 16 or older preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Dependable, punctual, and eager to learn.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with organizing, filing, and maintaining employee records and HR documents.
  • Scan, copy, and electronically file paperwork in accordance with company procedures.
  • Support data entry and recordkeeping activities while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Assist with preparing materials for employee meetings, training sessions, and onboarding activities.
  • Help coordinate and set up company-sponsored summer events, employee appreciation activities, and wellness programs.
  • Prepare event supplies, assemble materials, and assist with event logistics.
  • Support HR staff with administrative projects and special assignments.
  • Answer phones, greet visitors, and direct inquiries as needed.
  • Assist with organizing office supplies and maintaining HR department work areas.
  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
