About The Position

The GRO program at Manulife is a new approach to early talent development, designed to launch careers with support, structure, and opportunities. The Human Resources Accelerator Program (HRAP) is a key stream within GRO, offering a two-year experience with four 6-month rotations across high-impact HR functional areas. Participants will gain hands-on experience, build a broad HR foundation, and develop a global perspective on how HR drives business success. As part of GRO, participants will join a community of peers, benefit from professional development, core skills training, mentorship, and leadership exposure, preparing them to become future-ready HR leaders.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Human Resources or a related field, or completion of an undergraduate degree and currently pursuing a post-graduate HR certificate, with an expected graduation Spring 2027.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills with sound judgment.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • A passion for continuous improvement and a drive to make meaningful change.
  • Ability to influence through data and clear reasoning.
  • A natural curiosity to learn and apply new skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Rotate through four core HR functions, gaining exposure to strategic and operational aspects of human resources.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional and global teams to support initiatives that align with business goals and enhance employee experience.
  • Contribute to projects in areas such as workforce planning, DEI strategy, talent development, compensation, and HR analytics.
  • Analyze data and trends to identify opportunities for improvement and propose actionable solutions.
  • Participate in coaching, training, and mentorship to support your growth and development throughout the program.
