About The Position

BQC Foundry is seeking an experienced, bilingual Human Resources Specialist to independently manage the day-to-day HR needs of our manufacturing facility. This is a hands-on position for an HR professional who is comfortable working directly with employees, supervisors, and management in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. We are looking for someone who is highly organized, approachable, confident handling employee relations matters, and able to manage multiple HR responsibilities with minimal supervision.

Requirements

  • Bilingual – English/Spanish required
  • 5+ years of Human Resources or employee/labor relations experience
  • Strong knowledge of employee relations, benefits, FMLA, attendance, and HR compliance.
  • Ability to independently manage daily HR responsibilities and make sound decisions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to adjust priorities quickly.
  • Comfortable working directly with employees in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous manufacturing HR experience strongly preferred.
  • College degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred but not required.
  • Experience with B&L Odyssey and Paylocity is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary day-to-day HR resource for employees and supervisors.
  • Manage employee relations issues, disciplinary documentation, attendance, and policy administration.
  • Coordinate recruiting, hiring, onboarding, orientation, and new-hire paperwork.
  • Administer employee benefits and assist with annual open enrollment.
  • Coordinate FMLA and other employee leave programs.
  • Maintain confidential personnel records and required HR documentation.
  • Assist managers and supervisors with employee performance and workplace issues.
  • Coordinate employee training and development programs.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws and company policies.
  • Plan employee recognition programs and company events.
  • Promote a positive workplace culture and maintain a visible presence throughout the facility.
