This role is responsible for managing the daily administrative functions of the HR office, including benefits, hiring, transfers, terminations, and payroll. The position involves executing and refining recruiting and staffing initiatives, researching and addressing employment-related concerns, and ensuring compliance with company HR policies. The manager will also oversee the accuracy, confidentiality, and maintenance of HR documents, and assist in the implementation and compliance of HR systems and applications. Additionally, the role requires maintaining quality and safety standards, identifying associate, customer, and supplier concerns, and implementing corrective actions. A key part of the role is supervising and developing associates and leaders, including hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, providing recognition, and promoting a culture of belonging. The manager will also coordinate and manage training programs for Distribution and/or Transportation associates, including new hire orientation, CBL modules, and web-based training, while monitoring completion, schedules, and compliance. The position emphasizes building strong relationships with stakeholders, supporting business needs, identifying improvement opportunities, and promoting continuous learning.
