This role is responsible for managing the daily administrative functions of the HR office, including benefits, hiring, transfers, terminations, and payroll. The position involves implementing the business plan for the area of responsibility by communicating goals, managing staffing and scheduling, assigning duties, coordinating workloads, and ensuring associates complete required training. It also requires ensuring compliance with company HR policies, maintaining HR documents, and researching HR-related issues. The manager will supervise and develop associates and leaders, coordinate and complete job-related activities, and ensure compliance with company policies and values. A key aspect of the role is managing and coordinating training for Distribution and/or Transportation associates, including new hire orientation, CBL modules, and web-based training. The position emphasizes respecting individuals by building high-performing teams, embracing differences, and creating a workplace where associates feel seen, supported, and connected.
