Requirements

  • Human Resources experience 5-7 years
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Social Sciences, or Human Resource Management
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of employment laws
  • Good organizational skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft programs including Word, Excel and Power Point

Nice To Haves

  • SHRM PHR or SPHR certification is not required but is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Exemplifies the Amcor Values at all times. Leads by example and exhibits professionalism in all areas when representing Amcor inside and outside of the plant.
  • Manage and direct activities performed by the HR Support Team (generalist/assistant)
  • Embodies commitment for a safe workplace, and acts as a role model on safety leadership, activities, and communication.
  • Provide professional support to all departments, including being an advocate for safety and quality.
  • Manage all employee relations functions pertaining to development, engagement, performance, succession planning, and other issues as they arise.
  • Conduct Investigations in regards to any workplace violation of a serious nature.
  • Oversees and advises on employee disciplinary actions up to and including suspension and termination
  • Is actively engaged in Amcor benefit administration - including wage scales, increases, promotions, changes, new programs, open enrollment, assisting associates as needed, managing/approving leaves of absence.
  • Responsible for plant staffing in order to maintain appropriate headcount levels to safely meet production orders, on time shipments, and customer demands.
  • Oversees and advises on the hourly Performance Review process ensuring fairness, timely completion, and development opportunities are met.
  • Responsible for Workday, UKG, and all other systems used by Amcor employees and the HR Department.
  • Oversees the unemployment claim administration reporting.
  • Assists in the training and development needs associates at all levels to help them achieve and exceed their goals.
  • Manages the employee engagement activities, special events, celebrations, and community involvement.
  • Is actively engaged in community and local efforts to promote Amcor, the HR profession, manufacturing, and employee development.
  • Networks with Regional HR Team, shares best practices, provides support and assistance when needed, or assigned.
  • Mentors and provides HR support as needed to help other plants.
  • Collaborates with Amcor Leadership on strategic goals and organizational change initiatives.
  • Perform any other duties as established by the Plant Manager and Regional HR Director.
  • Responsibilities and Authority include assuring compliance with federal, state, government and/or any appropriate regulatory law or guidelines.
