About The Position

The Human Resources Manager assists with the compliance of all personnel policies and procedures, ensuring the company adheres to all State and Federal employment laws. This role involves maintaining professional and confidential communication with multiple store locations to ensure information flows appropriately. The position is full-time, with a day shift, and requires up to 25% travel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources/Business Management or equivalent experience required.
  • 3 plus years in Human Resources activities such as compensation and benefits, staffing, employee development, and training.
  • Ability to use HRIS systems, standard desktop applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions.
  • Knowledge of employment laws, policies, and regulations.
  • Understands minimum wage laws, confidentiality policies, employee notification requirements, and other regulatory policies.
  • Ability to write and speak to individuals and groups effectively.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional in Human Resource (PHR) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develops policies and procedures for the organization and counsels managers and employees on adherence to policies, procedures, laws, and regulations.
  • Manages employee files, ensuring they are current, organized, compliant with regulations, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Manages the compensation and benefits plans for the organization.
  • Coordinates and processes biweekly payroll, including resolving employee questions or concerns.
  • Manages the recruiting, staffing, and performance management processes.
  • Assists with monthly safety meetings.
  • Administers workers' compensation processes.
  • Assists with recruiting and new hire efforts, including providing interview guidance, completing new hire processes, employee orientation, and maintaining relationships with local schools and training centers.
  • Assists with administering employee engagement programs, which may include recognition and wellness.
  • Oversees the administration of training and employee learning and development activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
