As a Human Resource Generalist / Crew Scheduler, you’ll serve as part of the Human Resources team at our Lancaster, PA Plant. With your passion for people, you’ll partner with the plant staff including Supervisors, Union Representatives and Hourly employees as appropriate, to drive plant engagement and provide excellent customer service to plant personnel. We’ll lean on you to leverage your attention to detail and multitasking skills to produce daily and weekly scheduling, process and manage leaves, metric reporting and more! This is a 3rd shift position with an 11:30pm – 7:30am schedule. Some weekend work and overtime will be required at times based on plant business needs. This role is overtime eligible.

Requirements

  • Proven strong ability to use independent critical thinking and decision making
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service and needs of the business
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Effective organizational and time management skills
  • Must be able to work on different shifts and work weekends if necessary
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills – primarily Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a Human Resources environment HIGHLY preferred

Responsibilities

  • Report on HR metrics as needed, perform personnel file maintenance, and administer leaves of absence.
  • Accurately schedule employees according to the plant’s collective bargaining agreements.
  • Partner with Shift Operations to process production paperwork, conduct investigations, issue attendance disciplines, and research grievances and complaints.
  • Prepare training materials and maintain documentation for new hire orientations, safety training, and job-specific training.
  • Adjust to changes in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
  • Support Plant projects and engagement events as needed.
