About The Position

Freedom Behavioral Health Hospital of Monroe/West Monroe is an 82-bed acute adult/geriatric psychiatric facility seeking an experienced Human Resource Director. This role involves coordinating personnel matters, processing time and attendance, identifying training needs, and implementing performance improvement plans in accordance with facility policies, federal and state regulations, and PI standards. The HR Director will utilize effective communication skills, considering age, disability, and cultural diversity, and provide emergency response. Responsibilities include overseeing staffing, staff relations, orientation and development, compensation, and benefits. The position directs the Human Resources Department, develops HR practices to support facility growth, ensures legal compliance, and participates in performance improvement and CQI activities.

Requirements

  • Experience as a Human Resources Manager in the hospital setting preferred; or 3-5 years as a Human Resources Generalist in the hospital setting.
  • Knowledge of relevant federal, state and local registration relating to Human Resources, i.e., Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Affirmative Action, ADA, FMLA. or related experience in nursing.

Responsibilities

  • Provides coordination on personnel matters within the facility.
  • Provides daily accurate time and attendance processing for all facility employees.
  • Identifies needs and refers employees to appropriate resource for training and retraining.
  • Recommends and conducts performance improvement plans for any employee in a related department that falls short on adhering to process and policy of the organization.
  • Overseeing all human resources issues including staffing, staff relations, orientation and development, compensation and benefits.
  • Directs the Human Resources Department as a resource person for the department.
  • Develops and recommends human resources practices and procedures that assist in the growth of the facility.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
  • Participates in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities.
