About The Position

This position provides administrative and human resource function support by performing general clerical duties such as filing, keying, faxing, answering phones, entering data in multiple systems, scheduling appointments, and maintaining logs. The role involves processing payroll documentation for pay adjustments, assisting with human resource functions like payroll, benefits, and employment, and preparing, reviewing, analyzing, and processing reports and documents to ensure compliance. Additionally, the Human Resource Clerk supports the hiring process by scheduling interviews and drug screens, completing reference checks, processing new hires, terminations, and transfers, and assisting with new hire and transfer orientation. The role also assists with employment-related paperwork and data entry, including processing information and completing required forms for Leave of Absence, Workers Compensation, and OSHA logs. The associate is expected to complete work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources, collaborating with others, identifying priorities and deadlines, communicating progress, and adapting to change. The role also requires compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity, and upholding Walmart values.

Requirements

  • 6 months experience in Walmart Logistics clerical related responsibilities (for example, filing, data entry) using computer applications (for example, email, spreadsheets, word processing)
  • OR 1 year's experience in clerical related responsibilities (for example, filing, data entry) using computer applications (for example, email, spreadsheets, word processing)
  • OR 1 year's coursework in Human Resource related field (for example, Business Management, Human Resources) AND 1 year's experience in computer applications (for example, email, spreadsheets, word processing)
  • OR 1 year's experience in human resource activities (for example, payroll, benefits, workers compensation, FMLA, OSHA) AND 1 year's experience in computer applications (for example, email, spreadsheets, word processing)

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with or to individuals or groups verbally and/or in writing (e.g., customers, suppliers, associates).
  • Process payroll documentation for pay adjustments by researching, verifying, and filing daily time reports, time and pay adjustments, and payroll edits.
  • Assist with human resource functions (e.g., payroll, benefits, employment), including preparing, reviewing, analyzing, and processing reports, documents, and logs to ensure compliance with applicable laws.
  • Respond to issues and questions related to payroll, benefits, and employment, and report deficiencies to management.

  • Complete work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and other business partners; identifying priorities, deadlines, and expectations; carrying out tasks; communicating progress and information; determining and recommending ways to address improvement opportunities; and adapting to and learning from change, difficulties, and feedback.
