In this role, you will conceptualize, design, evaluate, and certify Flight deck interfaces through requirements capture, prototyping, simulation, analysis, and usability tests. You will deploy cognitive ergonomics expertise to support the design, tests, and analysis of Human-Machine Interfaces. You will also support requirements development, task analysis, and human error analysis. Additionally, you will develop system Human Machine Interface (HMI) simulations and prototypes, and create and manage documentation for Human Factors activities related to new aircraft, significant cockpit modifications, and sustaining programs. You will elaborate and conduct User Centered Design activities related to Flight deck HMI, perform scenario-based Flight deck and User eXperience (UX) evaluations in line with Customer Flight deck philosophy, and interact with Flight Crews to develop and assess overall cockpit physical and cognitive usability. You will also support certification efforts for 1302 and other Human Factors related regulations, and interact with several programs/platforms.
