About The Position

On behalf of the Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD), Cambridge Developmental Center: Coordinates full-cycle recruitment and selection processes for the developmental center, including internal job bids, promotions, and transfers, in accordance with applicable laws, policies, and collective bargaining agreements. Ensures compliance with EEO, ADA, and related regulatory requirements, and assists with required documentation, reporting, and investigations. Represents the organization at job fairs, outreach events, and community workforce initiatives. Supports labor relations by assisting with interpretation of collective bargaining agreements, documenting grievances, supporting disciplinary processes, and preparing materials for labor–management meetings; responsible for maintaining & auditing personnel records for DC; prepares personnel actions (e.g., Epars); updates and manages OAKS HCM data; and supports licensure, certification, and credentialing compliance; submit IT tickets for onboarding & offboarding DC employees; assist central office payroll by providing support through timesheet review, pay adjustments, and leave auditing; assists employees with benefits enrollment and inquiries related to retirement, workers’ compensation, unemployment, and disability-related programs; assist central office with FMLA, ADA, and other leave programs by reviewing documentation, tracking entitlements, issuing required notices, coordinating return-to-work procedures, and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. Coordinates new hire orientation and employee training, including scheduling, preparation of materials, facilitation, and recordkeeping; conducts follow-up meetings with new or promoted employees and participates in employee engagement, recognition, and retention initiatives; conducts exit interviews and compiles trend data to support organizational improvement. Provides cross-trained support across all HR functions—including staffing, benefits, payroll, leave administration, EEO/ADA compliance, and labor relations—to ensure continuity of services and effective HR operations.

Requirements

  • 2 yrs. exp. in human resources.
  • Or completion of undergraduate core program in human resources, business or public administration.
  • Or 1 yr. exp. as Human Capital Management Associate, 64611.
  • Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.
