About The Position

At TELUS Digital, the Human-AI Interaction (HAI) & UX Specialist is responsible for architecting the user experience of AI systems. This role focuses on refining the personality, empathy, and logic of AI to transform it from a mere tool into a partner. The specialist will optimize how AI handles multi-turn conversations and builds user trust, ensuring technology adapts to humans. The goal is to build intuitive AI by studying the interaction between human intent and machine response.

Requirements

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree specifically in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Cognitive Psychology, UX Research, or Behavioral Economics.
• Native-level proficiency (C2+) in primary language to evaluate cultural nuances and dialogue flow.
• Minimum B1 (Intermediate) level English proficiency for global collaboration.
• Completion of a subject-specific qualification exam.
• Completion of ID verification.

Responsibilities

• Conversational UX Auditing: Analyze multi-turn interactions to ensure AI maintains state, reduces cognitive load, and provides concise, actionable answers.
• Trust & Calibration Analysis: Identify and refine instances where AI is overconfident or overly cautious to optimize the 'Calibration of Trust'.
• Persona & Tone Synthesis: Develop and test specialized personas and ensure tone-alignment across different industries.
• Accessibility & Inclusivity Design: Evaluate how AI models handle diverse speech patterns, non-standard dialects, and accessibility needs to ensure global inclusivity.
