Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or Pharm D
  • State Licensure
  • Valid Registration
  • 1-3 years’ experience in a retail or specialty pharmacy setting
  • Must be able to work in fast-paced environment and handle high number of scripts per hour.
  • Must be a team player willing to accept and promote organizational goals
  • Current license in the state of practice

Nice To Haves

  • 1-3 years’ experience as a Pharmacy Manager, Supervising Pharmacist, or Pharmacist-in-Charge, providing clinical oversight, a plus.
  • Highly effective in working objectively with a diverse group of people and must demonstrate communication, organizational, administrative and office skills.

Responsibilities

  • Represent the Company in a professional and courteous manner in all job-related interactions.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with all laws and regulations; ensure that the pharmacy meets or exceeds accreditation standards; and implement ‘’best practices’’ in all pharmacy activities.
  • Resolve pharmacy client/patient concerns and complaints, and provide pharmacy client/patient counseling as needed.
  • Conduct patient profile monitoring as necessary. Conduct thorough medication reviews for patients with complex conditions, evaluating drug interactions, potential side effects, and appropriateness of therapy based on patient specific needs and as per the company’s clinical guidelines
  • Provide detailed information to patients about their medications, including proper administration, potential side effects, adherence strategies, and disease state management when applicable.
  • Provide comprehensive medication therapy management (MTM) services
  • Communicate with medical professionals with regard to client/patient status and response to medication, and when necessary to resolve client/patient issues.
  • Interact with pharmaceutical manufacturers’ as needed to maintain current knowledge of pharmaceutical products/programs and to manage changes to process or product.
  • Assume on-call responsibilities in accordance with Company guidelines.
  • Report product incidents as required in accordance with Company policy.
  • Supervise the activities of pharmacy technicians and other department personnel.
  • Participate in surveys conducted by authorized inspection agencies.
  • Participate in the Company's Quality Improvement (QI)/Quality Assurance Program as requested by the QI Manager(s).
  • Participate in Company committees when requested.
  • Pursue continuing education programs appropriate to job responsibilities.
  • Documentation of adverse events and products complaints per contractual obligations to pharmaceutical manufacturers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Company
