The Hub Manager will be responsible for managing the transactional activity within their relevant administrative Hub. This role involves line managing staff and applying all Human Resources (HR) related policies and practices, including staff management, disciplinary investigations, performance management, and staff appraisals. This is a non-operational role which may involve contact with prisoners depending on their area of work. The role contributes toward the development of local policy, procedures, and practice, ensuring consistency of application. They will manage devolved budgets in accordance with financial procedures, and oversee the achievement of Service Delivery Indicators (SDIs) and standards within the work area. The Hub Manager will analyze and act on data collected by the Hub, produce relevant reports, and ensure data entered into local and national systems is accurate and timely. They will monitor the performance of the Hub, draft external and internal communications, and provide management information to the Head of Function. A key responsibility is the management of all staff within their area, including performance, development, annual appraisal, and sickness absence management. The role also involves acting as the first point of contact for relevant external stakeholders and serving as a requisitioner or approver depending on local policy.
