About The Position

This role combines office responsibilities, industrial environments, field activities, and client site visits. Occasional travel to project sites and client locations may be required. You will join a dynamic team where health, safety, and environmental responsibility are at the heart of daily operations. At CCNuclear, the HSE Supervisor acts as a trusted partner for employees, managers, and operational teams by promoting proactive safety practices and continuous improvement. Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree or College Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, Industrial Safety, or a related discipline; A combination of education and relevant experience will also be considered;
  • 10 years of experience in a Health, Safety, and Environment role within industrial, manufacturing, construction, nuclear, or similar environments;
  • Proven experience developing and delivering employee training programs;
  • Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation, regulations, and industry best practices;
  • Experience with: Workplace inspections; Safety audits; Incident investigations; Risk assessments and hazard management; Corrective action tracking; HSE documentation and reporting;
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications;
  • Excellent communication, coaching, influencing, and collaboration skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP), National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO), or equivalent certification;
  • Knowledge of ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems;
  • Experience supporting regulated environments or client-driven safety programs;
  • Experience in industrial, nuclear, construction, decontamination, or field service operations;
  • Knowledge of contractor management and project-based safety requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining health, safety, and environmental policies, procedures, programs, and safe work practices;
  • Promoting a proactive safety culture by supporting teams in adopting best practices and reducing workplace risks;
  • Providing coaching, guidance, and support to managers, supervisors, and employees on HSE-related matters;
  • Developing and delivering HSE training programs to strengthen employee knowledge, awareness, and competency;
  • Leading and supporting the Joint Health and Safety Committee and safety improvement initiatives;
  • Conducting workplace inspections, audits, and compliance assessments across office, shop, and field environments;
  • Identifying hazards, assessing risks, and implementing corrective action plans to improve workplace safety;
  • Leading investigations related to incidents, injuries, near misses, environmental events, and safety concerns;
  • Analyzing trends and developing key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve HSE performance;
  • Supporting environmental compliance initiatives related to regulations, permits, waste management, sustainability, and responsible practices;
  • Developing and maintaining emergency response plans and coordinating preparedness exercises;
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and preparing HSE reports to support management decision-making.
