About The Position

KBR maintains and manages Commercial/Technology programs to include Metrology Services (MET), Automated Fuel Handling Equipment (AFHE), KBR Assurance Services (KAS), and Government Access Management (GAM). KBR Commercial/Technology programs are located across North America and in numerous OCONUS locations. KBR provides support for Honeywell Contracts, Commercial contracts, and Government Contracts. As a Safety Supervisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with safety regulations, conducting investigations, providing training, and maintaining safety documentation. You’ll be responsible for identifying potential hazards and fostering a culture of safety within the organization.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with a valid U.S. Passport.
  • Must possess a valid State Driver’s License.
  • Must be a team player with a positive attitude and the ability to adapt to change.
  • Must be flexible and willing to work extended hours, nights and weekends as the position requires.
  • Must possess an OSHA 30 Hour Certification.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in field safety management, construction, or industrial operations.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state safety regulations, specifically 29 CFR 1910.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong public speaking skills.
  • Skilled in various Microsoft Office programs, basic skills in Excel and Outlook.

Nice To Haves

  • One (1) year experience successfully managing a comparable safety program.
  • Bachelor’s / associate degree level education.
  • CHST, OHST, OSHA 510 & 500 or equivalent safety certification.
  • Supervisory experience – identifying and providing training, coaching, strong organization skills – multi-tasking, prioritizing tasks, employee performance management.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies, programs, and procedures in compliance with OSHA and other regulatory standards.
  • Conduct regular site audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
  • Report safe work and unsafe work IAW Good Catch and Courage to Care Reporting Systems.
  • Provide training and mentorship to field staff and subcontractors on safe work practices and emergency procedures.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses; lead root-cause analyses and implement preventative measures.
  • Partner with field supervisors and project managers to monitor and enforce safety standards on-site.
  • Prepare safety reports, maintain documentation, and track safety performance metrics.
  • Achieve all “met” ratings on monthly Quality Assurance Surveillance Plan, complete all Contract Deliverables (CDRLs) to time and quality standards
  • Develop Deliberate Risk Assessments (DRA’s) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) based on work operations, work environments, hazards, exposure, etc.
  • Develop/Determine Total Safety Task Instructions (TSTI’s) and Work Instructions based on work operations, work environments, hazards, exposure, etc.
  • Develop and submit annual budgets for HSE contract operations and required trainings of the safety team. This includes initiatives for costs savings and cost avoidance.
  • Develop and execute safety incentives such as Courage to Care, Safety calendar, Zero Harm Day, etc.
  • Establish and facilitate a monthly reoccurring safety committee.
  • Stay current with industry safety regulations and best practices to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Maintain all certifications and training as required.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
