We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced HSE Specialist to support our health, safety, and environmental initiatives while ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations and corporate safety standards. The HSE Specialist will support the day-to-day operations of the Health, Safety, and Environmental department, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and environmental requirements. This role requires experience in workplace safety programs, incident investigations, audits, inspections, training, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or related field preferred.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Minimum 5 years of HSE or workplace safety experience.
  • Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and workplace safety practices.
  • Experience conducting safety inspections, audits, incident investigations, and employee training.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and safety management systems.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 and workplace safety audit requirements.
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred.
  • CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct workplace safety inspections and identify potential hazards.
  • Assist with implementing and maintaining OSHA-compliant safety programs and procedures.
  • Support incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, OSHA regulations, and ISO 9001 requirements.
  • Assist with employee safety orientation, training, and safety awareness programs.
  • Maintain organized and confidential HSE documentation and records.
  • Monitor workplace conditions to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Support emergency preparedness activities, drills, and response procedures.
  • Assist with safety audits and provide requested documentation during inspections.
  • Collaborate with operations and management teams regarding workplace safety concerns and improvements.
  • Assist with tracking safety metrics, near misses, and corrective action follow-up.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
