About The Position

Partner with facility leadership to promote a safe, healthy, and environmentally compliant workplace. Develop, implement, and continuously improve HSE programs, policies, and safe work practices that reduce operational risk. Support compliance with OSHA regulations, the EPS Global HSE Management System, and applicable environmental requirements. Lead safety initiatives, employee training, and incident investigations to strengthen safety performance and foster a proactive safety culture. Monitor HSE metrics and recommend improvements that enhance operational excellence across multiple facilities.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years of HSE experience, preferably in manufacturing or industrial operations.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1910 regulations.
  • Experience conducting incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
  • Experience developing HSE policies, procedures, and employee training programs.
  • Strong hazard identification, risk assessment, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently.
  • Willingness to travel regularly between Youngstown, OH and Bridgeport, WV, with occasional additional travel as business needs require.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Safety Management, Environmental Science, or a related technical field preferred.
  • Experience with ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001 management systems preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary HSE resource for facility leadership, providing guidance on health, safety, and environmental matters.
  • Identify workplace hazards, conduct risk assessments, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve HSE policies, procedures, health and safety plans, and safe work practices.
  • Monitor HSE performance metrics and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead incident investigations, perform root cause analysis, and ensure timely implementation of corrective actions.
  • Coordinate and deliver HSE training programs for employees and leadership.
  • Conduct safety meetings, audits, inspections, and compliance assessments.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including OSHA 29 CFR 1910 requirements.
  • Support implementation and continuous improvement of ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and the EPS Global HSE Management System.
  • Maintain current knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Travel between Youngstown, OH and Bridgeport, WV, with occasional additional travel to support business operations, training, and meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
