Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Occupational Health, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of HSE experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working within cross-functional or matrixed organizations.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional certifications such as CSP, CIH, or CHMM.
  • Experience with Human and Organizational Performance (HOP) principles.
  • Familiarity with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems.
  • Confidence using digital tools and technology-driven management systems.

Responsibilities

  • Promote Hitachi Energy's values and core competencies, including people development, customer focus, and innovation.
  • Support the continuous improvement of HSE management systems and safety culture initiatives.
  • Lead risk assessments with a focus on serious incident prevention and operational safety.
  • Facilitate Learning Teams and Operational Learning activities to strengthen organizational learning.
  • Partner with stakeholders to develop and execute HSE strategies and factory objectives.
  • Lead incident investigations, identify root causes, and drive effective corrective actions.
  • Conduct audits, inspections, reporting, and performance analysis to improve HSE outcomes.
  • Coach and mentor operations teams and HSE Technicians while supporting facility expansion projects.
