HSE Site Supervisor

Flowserve CorporationBaton Rouge, LA
Onsite

About The Position

Flowserve is seeking an HSE Site Manager / Supervisor to lead Health, Safety, and Environmental operations across their Baton Rouge campus. This role involves taking full ownership of HSE programs across three co-located Quick Response Centers (QRCs)—Pumps, Valves, and Seals—supporting approximately 150 manufacturing and support personnel. The ideal candidate is a collaborative, self-motivated safety leader who believes a strong safety culture is built through active shop-floor presence and genuine partnership with front-line teams. The role receives corporate policy frameworks and audit schedules, then works directly with site operations to establish practical work instructions, identify operational improvements, and coordinate solutions from start to finish.

Requirements

  • 3–7+ years of progressive HSE coordination, supervision, or site management experience in industrial manufacturing, machining, heavy equipment, or service shop environments.
  • Demonstrated active floor presence with a track record of practical problem-solving and building positive rapport with front-line personnel.
  • Solid understanding of OSHA, EPA, and local compliance standards, with experience translating corporate frameworks into site-level procedures.
  • High degree of personal drive; able to independently manage projects from risk identification to final vendor implementation without needing direct oversight.
  • BS degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent practical industry experience.

Responsibilities

  • Spend daily time on the manufacturing floor building strong relationships, trust, and mutual accountability across machining, assembly, and test areas.
  • Proactively identify equipment and facility opportunities (e.g., machine guarding, PPE compliance, ergonomic layout), source vendor solutions, and drive corrective projects through execution.
  • Translate corporate HSE policies into clear, actionable, site-specific work instructions across all three QRC facilities (Pumps, Valves, Seals).
  • Manage campus audit readiness, maintain regulatory documentation (OSHA/EPA), conduct incident root-cause investigations, and implement preventive measures.
  • Serve as an active, approachable partner on the site leadership team, helping plant leads achieve operational targets safely and efficiently.

Benefits

  • Full health coverage
  • 401(k) matching
  • Paid time off
  • Long-term professional development opportunities
