About The Position

The Hot Section Engineering team is looking for a highly motivated, proactive, goal oriented, and detail-focused project engineer for F135 Nozzle and 3BSM Module. The role of a Project engineer is to support the IPTL for program task execution for hardware while developing leadership skills to become a future IPTL at Pratt & Whitney. This role will provide opportunities for direct interfacing with engineering management, program management, suppliers and government customers. The selected candidate will work with a team of individuals to meet requirements and achieve goals.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) field and 2+ years of engineering experience OR an Advanced degree
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Nice To Haves

Experience with nozzle or exhaust design and development
Demonstrated effectiveness in working across functions, organizations, and management
Working proficiency with MS Office, Teamcenter, SAP, MS Project / scheduling software, and project management
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance

Responsibilities

Coordinate with IPTL and help lead one or more cross functional teams to meet task and technical requirements
Identify and addresses project problems and recommends resolutions to ensure the successful completion of projects
Facilitates project tasks with the various functional organizations to ensure alignment with overall project objectives
Prepare/present status and technical content to HSE Leadership, CIPT, and Pratt & Whitney Upper Management
Initiate and manage hardware procurement/industrial effort as the engineering technical contact
Coordinate evaluation and disposition of quality non-conformances and supplier requests for information
