The HSE Advisor is responsible for managing environmental, health, safety, and property-related compliance and programs within a manufacturing environment. This role ensures adherence to regulatory requirements, supports the continuous improvement of the site's Environmental, Health and Safety Management Systems, and fosters a strong culture of safety and environmental stewardship.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, or a related discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience in occupational safety, health, or environmental engineering within a manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA General Industry 1910 Standards.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to self manage effectively in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong influencing and communication capabilities across all levels of the organization.
  • Must be a U.S. Person per ITAR regulations to comply with export compliance requirements, with ability to obtain a Department of Defense security clearance if needed.

Responsibilities

  • Manage incident response, investigation, and reporting for environmental, safety, and property related events, including near misses.
  • Develop, administer, and execute Environmental, Health and Safety training programs and ensure timely completion for all employees.
  • Maintain accurate records related to incidents, corrective actions, and training compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal environmental and occupational safety regulations, including ADEM, OSHA, and EPA requirements.
  • Prepare, manage, and submit regulatory compliance reporting, including but not limited to Tier II, TRI, and other required filings.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with regulatory agencies at the local, state, and federal levels on matters related to environmental compliance.
  • Maintain and continuously improve the site ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 Environmental, Health and Safety Management Systems, including audits, documentation, and corrective actions.
  • Support site leadership with risk assessments, compliance reviews, and Environmental, Health and Safety initiatives.
