The HRIS Specialist plays a key role in managing and optimizing HR technology systems to support our growing workforce of 1,700+ employees. This position oversees HRIS development, implementation, and maintenance—including performance management, applicant tracking, onboarding, benefits portals, and paperless filing systems. The HRIS Specialist also serves as a resource and trainer for HR team members and leaders, ensuring systems are used effectively to meet business goals. This is a hybrid role following initial training), offering flexibility and the opportunity to work on impactful projects that enhance employee engagement and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience implementing, developing, and administering HRIS systems
  • Advanced proficiency in HRIS platforms (ADP Workforce Now or Lyric highly desirable)
  • Advanced skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to train others
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Nice To Haves

  • PHR certification (SHRM) preferred
  • Experience with web development, intranet design, and database management

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain HRIS systems, including performance management, applicant tracking, onboarding, and benefits portals.
  • Lead implementation of new HRIS features and updates; develop project plans and ensure timely execution.
  • Audit HRIS data for accuracy and compliance with state and federal guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain HR intranet content to enhance employee engagement and access to HR resources.
  • Create and deliver training materials (manuals, presentations, FAQs) for HRIS systems; serve as a resource for HR team and leaders.
  • Design and run HRIS reports; collaborate with IT on system enhancements and troubleshooting.
  • Prepare statistical HR reports, including turnover and workforce analytics.
  • Partner with HR, IT, Marketing, and Accounting on cross-functional projects involving HR technology.
