About The Position

We are seeking a versatile Project Manager to lead an HRIS system improvement / HRIS system implementation. This PM needs to have prior HR experience, including payroll, benefits administration, and retirement programs such as 401(k). This role requires a strong understanding of how HR functions operate and how systems (e.g., HRIS, payroll platforms, and benefits systems) enable and optimize those processes. The ideal candidate will manage the delivery of programs that improve employee experience, ensure compliance, and enhance operational efficiency, while partnering closely with HR, IT, Finance, and external vendors.

Requirements

  • Prior HR experience, including payroll, benefits administration, and retirement programs such as 401(k).
  • Strong understanding of how HR functions operate and how systems (e.g., HRIS, payroll platforms, and benefits systems) enable and optimize those processes.
  • Ability to work effectively with limited direction in a highly ambiguous environment.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to connect process design with system capabilities.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with HR technologies (such as Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, or similar platforms).
  • Solid understanding of payroll, benefits, and compliance considerations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the delivery of programs that improve employee experience, ensure compliance, and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Partner closely with HR, IT, Finance, and external vendors.
  • Bring structure to loosely defined problems.
  • Independently identify priorities.
  • Translate high level objectives into executable plans.
  • Manage evolving requirements.
  • Make informed decisions while maintaining alignment with business goals.
  • Communicate complex HR and systems concepts to both technical and non technical audiences.
