We're Hiring: HRIS Payroll Lead | Workday Expert Join World Fuel Services, a global leader in energy distribution and logistics, powering the movement of people, goods, and businesses across air, land, and sea worldwide. We're looking for an experienced HRIS Payroll Lead to join our team and serve as the technical leader for our global Workday Payroll ecosystem. This is a highly visible, hands-on role where you'll partner with HR, IT, and business stakeholders to design, optimize, and deliver scalable payroll and HR technology solutions.
Requirements
- 5+ years of Workday Payroll experience in a global environment
- Deep expertise in: Payroll configuration, Integrations, Business Process Management, Security, Reporting, Testing & Release Management, Third-party payroll vendor interfaces
- Strong understanding of Workday architecture and HR business processes
- Proven experience leading complex HRIS projects and cross-functional initiatives
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Core HCM, Compensation, Benefits, Talent Management, and Integrations is highly valued
- Agile experience and Workday certifications are a plus
Responsibilities
- Lead the configuration, enhancement, and optimization of Workday Payroll across the U.S., U.K., and globally integrated payroll environments
- Act as the subject matter expert for payroll-related HR technology initiatives, integrations, and system design
- Partner with HR, Finance, IT, and external vendors to translate business needs into effective technology solutions
- Drive testing, release management, security controls, reporting, and data integrity initiatives
- Support Workday enhancements, upgrades, and continuous improvement efforts
- Mentor HRIS team members and provide technical leadership on complex projects
- Help shape the future of our HR technology strategy through innovation and best practices
