About The Position

The HRIS / Benefits Specialist at Salcomp is responsible for administering and optimizing HR systems and employee benefits programs. This role partners closely with HR, Payroll, Finance, IT, and external vendors to ensure accurate data management, reliable reporting, and effective benefits administration. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, systems-savvy, and experienced with ADP and U.S. benefits operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of hands-on experience generating, running, and analyzing HR and payroll reports in ADP.
  • 3+ years of experience in HRIS administration and benefits management.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. benefits programs and employment regulations.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with HR data reporting.
  • High attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now implementations or optimizations.
  • Experience supporting multi-state employee populations, including Texas.
  • HR certifications (PHR, SHRM-CP, CEBS) a plus.
  • Experience in manufacturing or high-growth environments.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary administrator for Salcomp’s HRIS platform, with a strong focus on ADP (e.g., ADP Workforce Now).
  • Maintain data integrity through regular audits of employee records, job changes, and system workflows.
  • Generate, run, and analyze standard and ad-hoc HR, payroll, and benefits reports from ADP.
  • Partner with HR, Payroll, Finance, and IT to support system integrations and data accuracy.
  • Manage system updates, testing, user access, and security permissions.
  • Develop dashboards and reports to support HR metrics, compliance, and business decision-making.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, 401(k), and wellness programs.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for benefits vendors, brokers, and third-party administrators.
  • Lead annual open enrollment, including system configuration in ADP, employee communications, and issue resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and Texas state regulations, including ACA, COBRA, ERISA, HIPAA, and FMLA.
  • Respond to employee benefits inquiries with accuracy, discretion, and a high level of service.
  • Support audits, compliance reporting, and data requests using ADP reporting tools.
  • Document HRIS and benefits processes and recommend efficiencies and system improvements.
  • Stay current on HR technology trends, ADP enhancements, and benefits regulations.
  • Assist with special projects related to HR operations and total rewards.
