About The Position

Senior Star is hiring an HRIS and Associate Relations Specialist to join their Human Resources team at their headquarters in Tulsa, OK! The HR Systems and Associate Relations Specialist is responsible for supporting the administration, integrity, and optimization of Senior Star’s HR systems while providing frontline associate relations support across all communities. This role ensures HRIS data accuracy, supports payroll and benefits system integration, assists with associate concerns and documentation, and promotes compliance with employment policies and procedures. The Specialist serves as a key operational resource to community leaders while escalating high-risk matters to the Human Resources Manager and Director of Risk and Employment Compliance as appropriate. The HR Systems and Associate Relations Specialist serves as the primary advisor to HR Specialists on escalated associate relations matters and ensures consistent, compliant handling of employee relations issues across communities. This role provides guidance on documentation standards, policy interpretation, and investigation procedures, while escalating complex, high-risk, or legally sensitive matters to the Director of Risk and Employment Compliance as appropriate. Responsible, with all other Senior Star associates, for supporting operational excellence and conducting business according to Senior Star Mission, Values, and Goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
  • 3–5 years of HR operations or HRIS experience.
  • Experience with HRIS systems (Dayforce strongly preferred).
  • Working knowledge of employment law fundamentals.
  • Strong analytical and data management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and documentation abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to handle confidential matters professionally.
  • Experience supporting or conducting workplace investigations and reviewing disciplinary documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply HR policies consistently and compliantly.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, multi-location environment.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Dayforce system support and issue resolution across all communities.
  • Act as liaison between Senior Star and Dayforce representatives for system troubleshooting, upgrades, configuration changes, and service tickets.
  • Manage and monitor system workflows to ensure proper approvals, documentation routing, and compliance controls.
  • Maintain data integrity within HRIS, ensuring accurate entry and maintenance of:
  • Benefit eligibility
  • Organizational structure updates
  • Support payroll and benefits modules within Dayforce to ensure accurate system integration.
  • Coordinate system testing for new modules, updates, and configuration enhancements.
  • Identify system inefficiencies and recommend process improvements to the Human Resources Manager.
  • Develop user guides and provide training to managers and HR staff on proper system usage.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of employee data through regular audits and validation processes.
  • Develop and maintain HR dashboards and custom reports for leadership.
  • Generate, validate, and distribute HRIS-based reports for leadership and compliance purposes.
  • Monitor HRIS controls to ensure audit readiness and compliance with employment documentation standards.
  • Escalate significant system risks, data integrity concerns, or compliance exposure issues to the Director of Risk and Employment Compliance.
  • Serve as the advisor to HR Specialists on escalated employee relations matters, providing guidance on documentation, investigation procedures, and policy application.
  • Review disciplinary actions and corrective action documentation as needed for consistency and compliance.
  • Provide coaching to HR Specialists and community leaders on handling associate concerns appropriately.
  • Monitor employee relations trends and identify patterns of risk across communities.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and employment law standards in day-to-day associate relations handling.
  • Assist in conducting investigations related to associate complaints, workplace conduct, and policy violations.
  • Ensure investigation files are complete, properly documented, and audit ready.
  • Escalate complex, sensitive, or legally high-risk matters to the Director of Risk and Employment Compliance.
  • Support compliance with FLSA, FMLA, ADA, Title VII, and applicable state labor laws in employee relations matters.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and neutrality in all associate relations issues.
  • Provide direct oversight and management of employee relations matters for any community without an onsite HR Specialist, serving as the primary HR contact for associate relations in those locations.
