About The Position

Verus is seeking a versatile People & Talent Operations Specialist to report directly to our HR Manager and support the daily operations of our Human Resources team (People/Talent). In this hybrid role, you will act as a bridge between Human Resources and Talent Acquisition—supporting everything from onboarding and policy development to talent coordination, performance administration, payroll, and HRIS maintenance. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic environment, possesses strong problem-solving skills, and is comfortable driving both strategic initiatives and day-to-day operational tasks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as an HR Generalist.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience supporting Talent Acquisition (e.g., recruiting coordination, sourcing, or onboarding).
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with HRIS platforms, timekeeping software, and office productivity tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Strong interpersonal development.
  • Self-motivated, energetic individual with a can-do attitude.
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience conducting Cost-Benefit Analyses is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with HR Team to create, document, and roll out updated HR policies, frameworks, and standardized document templates.
  • Monitor and evaluate HR laws against current internal procedures to ensure ongoing legal compliance.
  • Maintain accurate employee data and records within the HRIS.
  • Serve as a reliable point of contact for employee administrative inquiries, grievance resolution, and general operational support.
  • Partner with Talent Leadership to build recruitment strategies, manage candidate logistics, and oversee the end-to-end talent pipeline.
  • Draft and issue official internal documentation, including offer letters and candidate packages.
  • Design, coordinate, and execute the full onboarding process—managing documentation, orientation schedules, and training on company policies to ensure an exceptional candidate-to-employee experience.
  • Manage day-to-day benefits operations, including employee enrollment, change reporting, claims resolution, and benefit program communications (insurance, retirement plans, etc.).
  • Oversee the employee timekeeping system and perform payroll support duties.
  • Assist leadership in evaluating performance review workflows and processing approved compensation adjustments.
  • Develop, budget, and execute culture-building and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Assist leadership with addressing employee grievances and executing disciplinary actions in alignment with company policies and legal standards.
