S&L Industrial provides pavement markings, traffic control, guard rails, and bridge resurfacing services on roads and parking lots throughout Wyoming, Montana, Colorado, New Mexico, and Idaho. As our company continues to grow, we are seeking a HR/Talent Acquisition Specialist to help attract and hire top talent across our organization. Are you a Talent Acquisition Specialist, Recruiter, or HR professional in the construction, transportation, or highway maintenance industry looking to take the next step in your career? S&L Industrial is looking for a motivated T HR/Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team. As the first point of contact for prospective employees, you will play a critical role in identifying, attracting, and hiring qualified candidates for field, CDL driver, operations, and administrative positions. You will partner closely with hiring managers to support workforce planning and ensure a positive candidate experience from application through onboarding.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, and/or equivalent experience.
3+ years of recruiting or talent acquisition experience required.
Experience recruiting in construction, transportation, highway maintenance, manufacturing, or other skilled labor industries preferred.
Knowledge of DOT hiring requirements and compliance is a plus.
Experience using applicant tracking systems and online recruiting platforms.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to manage multiple openings and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

Source, screen, and qualify candidates for a variety of positions.
Conduct phone interviews and coordinate interviews with hiring managers.
Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future openings.
Manage applicant tracking systems and recruiting databases.
Attend job fairs, hiring events, and community outreach activities to promote employment opportunities.
Coordinate pre-employment requirements including background checks, drug screenings, and DOT-related hiring requirements.
Communicate regularly with candidates regarding application status and next steps.
Partner with operations leadership to understand staffing needs and recruiting priorities.
Assist with onboarding activities to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.
Track recruiting metrics and provide reports on hiring activity and effectiveness.
Promote the company's culture, values, and commitment to safety throughout the recruiting process.
