About The Position

We are seeking a proactive, relationship-focused HR Staffing Specialist to join the Human Resources team at Cornell Scott–Hill Health Center. In this role, you will partner closely with hiring managers to attract, source, screen, and hire qualified talent that supports the organization's mission and workforce needs. The ideal candidate will leverage strong recruiting strategies, relationship-building skills, and a customer-service mindset to deliver an exceptional candidate and hiring manager experience while managing multiple requisitions in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in business or human resources related field required.
  • Computer skills are required and experience with HRIS systems is valuable.
  • Microsoft 365 Office Suite is a must to include PowerPoint.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Two (2) to five (5) years of recruitment experience preferred.
  • Healthcare or behavioral healthcare related experience is desirable.
  • Experience working with a widely diverse employee population is also preferred.
  • Working knowledge of CT Labor Law is desirable.
  • Excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, interpersonal, and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure staffing requisitions for open positions are approved and posted according to CS-HHC policy.
  • Consults with hiring managers to obtain a clear understanding of the requirements of open positions, a description of the ideal candidate, potential recruitment resources, screening and interviewing processes, etc.
  • Prepares and places recruitment advertisements through CSHHC’s careers site and other advertising mediums.
  • Reviews applications and resumes for education and experience requirements, conducts screening interviews, and verifies licensures and certifications before forwarding qualified candidates to the hiring manager.
  • Maintains clear and timely communication with candidates and hiring managers, keeping them informed of application status and updates.
  • Conducts background and reference checks and upon satisfactory completion, extends an offer of employment on behalf of the CEO. Negotiate salaries as directed.
  • Maintains the vacancy and position control reports, updating both on a daily/weekly basis and preparing reports as required.
  • Maintains applicant tracking system (ADP Workforce Now), analyzing success of recruitment efforts, and adjusting recruitment strategies accordingly.
  • Coordinates recruitment events such as career fairs, speaking engagements, etc., and build and maintain relationships in the Community and at local colleges and workforce agencies.
  • Performs all other duties as required.
