About The Position

The HR Specialist role is a part-time, seasonal position supporting Target's Global Supply Chain and Logistics business. This role is crucial in building the best teams by delivering consistent execution of HR processes, routines, and tools. The HR Specialist acts as a key partner and reliable resource, ensuring HR programs are delivered accurately, efficiently, and with a strong focus on the team member experience. Responsibilities include providing guidance and operational support through onboarding, workforce routines, ensuring timely completion and accurate recordkeeping of required training, and day-to-day HR services. The role involves applying established best practices and standard procedures to support staffing, retention, engagement, and compliance needs, ultimately enabling teams to achieve business outcomes. Interaction with site leadership, HR partners, and cross-functional teams is expected, and may include engaging with external candidates or vendors. The role requires a solutions-oriented mindset, delivering HR services with accuracy, consistency, and care for the team.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience
  • 1+ years of administrative experience
  • Maintains positive and respectful attitude while working independently and in a team environment
  • Proficient in word processing, spreadsheets, computer systems (examples include Excel, Word, O365)
  • Strong customer/client service skills and ability to communicate (written and verbal) with all levels of organization, both internal and external
  • Anticipates problems (and escalates when appropriate), demonstrates strong prioritization and organization skills, catches errors, and takes action to complete tasks accurately and on time
  • Ability to work with highly confidential information
  • Ability to take initiative, and make fair and consistent decisions that align with our strategy and values
  • Ability to multi-task and be a flexible team player, who can easily adapt to change
